Tom Marsden

 Choir Director

Thomas Marsden grew up in Auburn, Maine. As a child and young adult, he played piano, baritone horn, and sang in various school and independent groups. These experiences shaped Tom's decision to pursue music education where, in August 1994, he moved to Philadelphia and entered Temple University's music department. After graduating in 1998, Tom held three different musical positions: Philadelphia Public Schools Music Teacher, Choir Director for Green Lane Methodist Church, and Lead Male Vocalist for Jay Cohen and Friends Orchestra. He currently works as Choir Director and Guidance Counselor for Pottstown High School, and sings with a private-function group Renaissance Orchestra. Tom has also held the position of Assistant Conductor of Brandywine Valley Chorale and sang with the Praise and Worship Team of Trinity Assembly of God in West Chester. Tom married his college best friend, Michelle Hollis, in 2001 and they have three children: Zachary (9), Zoe (5), and Isaiah (3). Friends describe him as a stubborn do-it-yourselfer who fixes cars and takes on various home improvement projects.
