In Psalm 139:7 the psalmist asks the question, “O Lord, where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?  In verse eight the psalmist answers his own question, “If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.”  The psalmist paints a poetic image, that there is nowhere we can go where we can flee from God’s presence.  “if we rise on the wings of the dawn or if we settle on the far...

If BCWC Ceased our Ministry...

Psalm 133:1 says, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”  It was more than good and pleasant to be community with one another last Sunday-whether around the communion table or the picnic table, in the church sanctuary or on the softball diamond, it was a blessing to be a part of our faith community.  As last Sunday’s worship service had a few special celebrations, so will this Sunday. Celebration, Flourishing and a Picnic

I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to this Sunday.  During our morning worship service, our Christian Education Board will lead us in celebrating our discipleship ministries.  We will also celebrate communion this Sunday.  Also, if you have not already brought something in that is symbolic of a flourishing life or reminds you of a time in your life that you really flourished, please do so this Sunday.  After worship we’ll have an opportunity to...
