Following Jesus' Way

Dear fellow followers of Jesus, This Sunday we will remember and celebrate Palm Sunday, the day Jesus followed by the crowds shouting “Hosanna!  Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!  Hosanna in the highest!” made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem.   The events of that day so long ago began what has come to be known as Holy Week.  By the end of the week the crowds and his disciples will have deserted Jesus.  Only a few women will...

Staying Connected to God

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Many of us are familiar with the poem “Footprints in the Sand.”  In the poem a person dreams of walking along the beach with the Lord.  As the person walks, scenes from his or her life flash across the sky.  In each scene the person noticed footprints in the sand.  Sometimes there were two and other times there were one set of footprints.  The person in the poem is bothered by this because it was at the low periods of...
